Random Heroes is an action-platformer by WoblyWare and released on Newgrounds on January 2, 2011. It was featured on Pixel Love the Monday of March 11, 2013. The player defends against alien invaders by upgrading their weaponry with the selected hero they choose before starting the game.

Controls[]

  • Left.png Right.png Left and right arrow keys - Move character
    • Also can move with A_key.png and D_key.png keys
  • Up.png Up arrow key or X key - Jump
    • Also works with K key
  • Down.png Down arrow key or S key - Open door
  • C key - Shoot gun

Levels[]

There are eighteen levels in Random Heroes. Levels are divided into chapters, given area names. The player can choose from a maximum of five heroes in the entire game, though only three are available to select when the player first opens the game.

As the player progresses, they can collect additional coins that can be used to purchase items from a shop. Additional achievements earned within levels can unlock additional characters.

Introduction[]

Chapter 1: Downtown[]

Level 1[]

Progressing up the two steps, there is a platform with silver coins the player can collect. Then, continuing right, the player will approach a bridge, which, to the right of it, leads to a pit of water. Going up a step again, there will be two zombie aliens to shoot, each on different platforms. To the right of the upmost zombie is the door.

This navigational box contains a spoiler. Click [show] to open.

The words "Congratulations!" is spelled out in block letters, with a picture of the chosen hero with the final boss' head on a spear. Below the picture is text that reads, "Thanks to you, the world is safe once again!"
